10 De Sabla Coating ,
San Mateo, California

Watertight Restoration was contacted by Apartment Complex owner about water leaks from the ground floor into the underground garage below.

Watertight demoed the existing asphalt, smoothed out surface of underlying concrete, and applied a traffic coating at the 1st level to protect the level below from water intrusion.

After installation of the traffic coating system, the owner was pleased and has not received anymore water intrusion into the parking level below.

25 Van Ness Traffic Coating,
San Francisco, CA

Watertight Restoration was contacted by a General Contractor in San Francisco about installing a traffic coating on the sidewalk in front of Building.

The Historic building was built after the 1906 earthquake as a home to the Fremasons as their new Masonic Temple.

The sidewalks are covering a basement below and the basement is home to a theater. Water intrusion in the theater was becoming an issue.

Watertight Restoration removed the existing coating that was failing on three sides of the building. Once a section of coating was removed, it was discovered that the concrete was of very weak strength and potentially a hazard to the 1,000s of pedestrians that walk this area each day.

Watertight Restoration teamed up with the Engineer of Record to mitigate the weak and degraded concrete with an extensive concrete repair program. Once the concrete was repaired and brough up to strength, Watertight installed the waterproof coating at the three sides of the building. The coating has to be robust enough to withstand heavy pedestrian traffic.

The work was challenging as the front of the building is Van Ness Avenue that is extremely congested with pedestrians and traffic. Watertight installed barrier and fencing around the work to minimize damage from pedestrians as the coating remains wet during the curing process.

Alameda City Hall Coating,
Alameda, California

Watertight Restoration was contacted by the Department of Public Works in Alameda, CA to install a coating at the 2nd Level landing of the Alameda City Hall. The landing was leaking water to the level below and potentially damaging historic elements of the building. The city hall is one of the oldest operating city hall buildings in the State of California. It was constructed in 1895 in the Romanesque style and has been in continual use as a city hall since its completion.

Watertight worked hand in hand with the historical Personnel of the City of Alameda. It was important that the repairs matched the existing paint schematic. Watertight spent some time with color additives to the coating system to exactly match the paint scheme on the building. After several trials Watertight was able to match the color and the City of Alameda approved of the color.

After the coating was installed, the historic team was pleased with the appearance and the fact that there was no longer any water intrusion into the level below.

California Aqueduct,
Gustine, CA

Watertight Restoration was contacted by General Contractor, Syblon Reid, about performing emergency repairs at the California Aqueduct. Watertight worked with Syblo Reid previously on the Oroville Dam emergency spillway repairs. Inf February 2017 heavy rainfall damaged Oroville Dam’s main and emergency spillways, prompting the evacuation of more than 180,000 people living downstream along the Feather Riven and the relocation of a fish hatchery.

The California Aqueduct was losing a large volume of water through failed caulking and expansion joints in the Aqueduct. Due to how vital the aqueduct is, Syblon Reid only had a 30 day shutdown to perform repairs.

Watertight Restoration worked 7 days and week for a whold month with an extensive crew to repair the joints and finish the project under the allotted shutdown period. The repair work consisted of removing/replacing damaged sealant at the concrete joint sections that was causing a majority of the water loss.

Watertight was able to successfully complete the repairs within the allotted shutdown and the Aqueduct was turned back into service.
